Feb 10, 2005 - Day 219 in Panjim, India

Charles writes: First thing in the morning we walked along the beach, checking out the views of Arabian Sea. We happened on some fishing boats, with fisherman who had been out all night. They pulled the boats in by rolling them on logs. Mid-morning we took a ferry over to Panjim, the capital of Goa. Our friends in Goa, Stanley and Marion had several errands to run, it was great going around Panjim with someone who speaks the native Hindi. We strolled through the market right after lunch, during the siesta. Many of the sellers were sleeping all around and on top of their fruits and vegetables… quite a scene. The night before we saw Andre, a friend of Stanley and Marion’s perform Neil Diamond, Moody Blues and Beatles covers at a local restaurant. The last photo is of him and Julie.
