Day — Charles & Sarah in ! |
|
Feb 11, 2005 - Day 220 in Candolim, India Charles writes: I felt sick today, “Delhi Belly” as they call it in India… so we took it easy. Julie got a full body oil massage. Julie writes: Luckily our hotel from last night was overbooked and we had to move for one night to another one nearby with air conditioning and cable. That was great for Charles since he stayed comfortable and was able to fight only the bug and not the heat or mosquitoes. My massage was the oiliest I’ve ever had, and modesty with the female masseuse was not an option. I fell into a state of semi-consciousness while my dry body soaked up a quart of oil. (Less than $10 for 90 minutes, girls!) This was the day we had intended to go on a boat tour up river to a spice plantation highly recommended by Stanley and Marion, only offered twice a week. I was sorry to miss that, because the spices in the markets are unusual and hard for me to identify. Charles was vertical by evening and joined Stanley, Marion and me for dinner at a local restaurant, only a few sips of soup for Charles. I’m not sharing bottled water with him today! |
