Charles writes: We had dinner on the 56th floor of the Shanghai Hyatt, it had spectacular views of the Bund area and downtown Shanghai (picture 4). The 5th picture is of the center area looking up from the 56th floor (the hotel goes up to 92 floors). After dinner we walked around downtown in the Bund area, the older colonial buildings contrasted with the neon new buildings. We took the Bund tourist tunnel under the river, which can we only be described as a cross between a ride at Disney World and one at the County Fair. But it served a functional purpose like an airport monorail shuttle. The last two pictures are taken from inside the Bund tunnel.
