Apr 8, 2005 - Day 276 in Seoul, South Korea

Today we visited the royal palace in Seoul Korea. It felt quite similar to the Forbidden City in Beijing. However the changing of the guards, which can be seen in the photos, was a really fantastic event to witness. In the evening, we had one of our first ticketing snafus. We have gotten quite cavalier about showing up at bus and train stations just before we expect to leave. This time it did not work in our favor because the train we needed to catch was sold out. We re-routed our itinerary and ended up killing many hours in the station doing some keen Korean people watching.
